I shivered under the covers, waiting every day to get out of this prison for children. The room was silent and cold. I could hear the sound of snores in between each thunder. The air was stinky and humid. And to this day I kept waiting. The year is 2003.
There was a bang at the door.
No one was awake. So I crept to the door with each step quieter than the one before. My eyes drifted to the door knob. My hand shook violently from the cold, but I knew my hands were trembling mostly because I was breaking the second most important rule or the orphanage. Click. The door unlocked. I slowly but steadily open the door. At first, I couldn’t see anything, but once a flash of lighting struck in the distance, I could see a big, tall shadow looming over me.
I screamed.
I got cut off with a rag pulled over my face. It smelled like my grandma’s perfume, but it was overstimulating, and I eventually blacked out. I didn’t know what happened next.
Once I woke up, I found myself in a strange looking house. No furniture, no decor, no people. My mouth opened but no sound came out. It was as if someone took my voice like Ursela did in the Little Mermaid. Then, I found a familiar shiver down my spine. I could feel his presence. In a blink of an eye, he stood in front of me, his face only a centimeter away, so close I could hear his breath.
Then he spoke, low and eerie.

“Make sure he looks like a human though, we don’t want her to be scared.” Amanda said sarcastically.
“Well, if she’s scared in the first place there’s no point in this test.” Shawn pointed out.
“I know, I know,” Amanda assured, “I just don’t want her to back out of this, you never know if she’s capable of this.”
Inside a large, concealed container was a skinny, middle aged man with blue, fiery hair. He looked clean, with smooth cheekbones and a pointed chin that could pierce through a human heart. He dressed simple. A navy blue coat so long it could pass as a wedding dress. His legs were barely visible under the coat, but it was clear enough to see that his legs were slender. If he weren’t able to fly, his legs would’ve given up after two steps with a heavy coat like that.
“His name?” Amanda asked.
“Meet Xayvier.” Then his eyes flicker open.

“Zeydaaaaahhhhhhh…” The low voice pierced through the silence. “You do not belong heeeeeeerrreeeeee…”
I still couldn’t speak. I just glared at the silhouette hoping he’d leave me alone. A whole minute passed without any talking. Then he spoke again.
“I will free youuuu, once you do me a favooooorrrrrrr…”
I gestured my arms and mouthed “What?”
Then a portal emerged.
“What is this? Am I supposed to… go in there?” I mouthed
He didn’t respond, he just stared at me, not that I knew where his eyes were.
