Naomi Chen

Naomi Chen is a Senior at San Marino High school with an interest in art and developing all things creative. She is mainly a visual artist, having won multiple awards in local competitions, but also wants to learn to channel and refine her ideas into writing to learn how to better express herself. She has loved anything and everything fiction since she was a child (wth a special emphasis on superhero universes), and enjoys reading and writing stream of consciousness style works. Her favorite form of literature is short stories and she is excited at the prospect of having tools to show the world her own ideas.

Priscilla Yan

Hi my name is Priscilla Yan. I’m currently 14 years old this year and soon to be 9th grader. I enjoy reading romance and fiction stories. But I prefer writing nonfiction stories whenever I can. More specifically, I like writing about animals.

Adanna Azinge

Hello, my name is Adanna Azinge and I like reading books and watching movies in my free time. The type of books I like to read are either Mystery books or books with a good hook. My style of writing is simple and aligns with mystery themes. Action and Thrillers are my favorite types of movies. I also like volleyball and spending time with family and friends.

Hannah Loose

Hannah Loose is a 16-year-old amateur author from San Marino, California. She enjoys writing realistic fiction focused on families, communities, and other interpersonal relations. She has been writing ever since she was a child, starting with short stories before progressing into full-length original works. She enjoys reading memoirs, realistic fiction, mysteries, and Wikipedia articles.

Qinlin "Lynn" Hu

Hi! I’m Qinlin(Lynn) Hu, an incoming sophomore at SMHS. My favorite subjects include Math, Physics, and Chemistry. I started my writing journey during 7th grade, and I suddenly sink into a special emotion every time I write. I like to write novels and poems, with magical settings and different characters. For me, writing is a comfort zone to express my feelings, and brings me so much joy.

Colin Tewasart

Colin Tewasart likes to read mystery and adventure books. He enjoys writing narrative and historical fiction. He likes to play his ukulele and play video games such as “Zelda Breath of the Wild”, “Super Smash Bros,” and much more. He has a family of four, with one sister, and enjoys playing sports like baseball.

I’m Sirui Zhang, an incoming Freshman. I'm one of eight billion people around the world who's won the bed-ridden competition, is heavily dependent on earphones, and is a huge fan of the Harry Potter movies and books. Also a girl who likes art very much, especially drawing, dancing, and creativity.

Quinn Batten

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and am currently attending school in the San Marino Unified School District. I appreciate both reading and writing, and am using my profile as a portfolio for my work. I intend to develop and grow as a writer, and would like to share the journey to become a more developed writer.

Linda Xu

I love romcom books and enjoy teen love stories lines. I have a cat named mimi and my favorite color purple. Basketball and volleyball are my main sports that I enjoy. At this moment I am writing a novel with my friend as well.

Amelia Lin

I love both reading and writing young adult fiction books, I can relate to a lot of the YA books, and use that in my writing! I love sweets and reading as well, I read almost every genre of book, and love all of them. I am currently writing a novel with my friend, and we are making good progress!

Matthew Battaglia

My name is Matthew Battaglia and I love my family and friends. I live in San Marino with my mom, dad, sister Emily and two brothers, John and Andrew. Well, I am the youngest of four, really five including my dog who thinks she is human. Lily is a King Charles Cavalier and is the cutest and sweetest thing I've ever met. I am 13 years old and go to school at Flintridge Prep with my brothers. My older sister and dad have graduated from Prep, and that has led me to go there as well. I play most sports at Prep, but my two favorite are baseball and football. I am on a club baseball team, the San Marino All Stars. I am excited to be going on two vacations this summer. Next week we are going to Ireland (I am half Irish) and then we will go to Solano Beach in San Diego, where I like to surf.
